We invite songwriters, artists, sync agents, filmmakers, producers, directors, ad execs and anyone working in the 'sound + vision' space, from around the world, to join us for the free virtual seminars.
The daily panels and workshops will break down everything you wanted to learn about sync in multiple media platforms.
We're suggesting donations from participants go towards one of these Canadian charities;
Black Mental Health and/or Black Youth Helpline.

DAVID HAYMAN (1978-2020)
On May 19, 2020, David Hayman passed away suddenly in his home at the age of 42.
David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, musical encyclopedia, filmmaker, and mentor.
As Founder and Creative Director of Supergroup Sonic Branding and Vice President of the Guild of Music Supervisors Canada (GMSC), he worked closely with managers, artists, publishers and the film, TV and advertising industries.
His co-workers at Supergroup, released a collective statement on his passing, “Yesterday we said goodbye to our fearless leader Doc David Hayman. When he created the Supergroup, he created a family based on passion, curiosity, authenticity and a pinch of crazy.
An incredible talent with an even bigger heart David leaves behind not only an impressive legacy of work but also leaves his mark on the people of the film and music industry. Thank you all for your continued support. Follow your passions, keep it authentic and please be kind to one another.”
Throughout David's career as a Music Supervisor he worked on dozens of Films and TV shows - credits include: Schitt’s Creek, Letterkenny, Kim’s Convenience, Saving Hope, Nirvanna: the Band the Show, Rookie Blue, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band, Thunderbird, Guest Of Honour, among countless others.
A GoFundMe campaign has been setup to help Hayman's family. "Our hope is that this fund will help Ali and Ruby so that, with the incredible hardship they are going through right now, their financial needs will not be a burden for some time," said organizers.

Definition/Role of Music Supervisor
A MUSIC SUPERVISOR IS…
A qualified professional who oversees all music related aspects of film, television, advertising, video games and any other existing or emerging visual media platforms as required. In addition:

The Music Supervisor must possess a comprehensive knowledge of how music impacts the visual medium. The Music Supervisor works with the key decision makers and/or designated creative team to collectively determine the musical vision, tone and style that best suits the project. We are passionate. The Music Supervisor provides professional quality service that combines creative, technical and management expertise with relevant proven experience. This specialized combination of diversified knowledge and unique skills is integrated into all stages of development, pre-production, production, post-production, delivery and strategic marketing of the project with regard to all music related elements. The Music Supervisor is your Sonic-Guide.
Music Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
RESEARCH & STRATEGY.
Identify, secure and supervise any and all music related talent, which includes composers, songwriters, recording artists, on-camera performers, musicians, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, contractors, music producers, engineers, etc.: liaise and negotiate with talent representation, including legal, label, talent management, agency, business management, etc.
COMMUNICATION.
Liaise and effectively communicate with other related and involved professionals & support staff, i.e. directorial, production, editorial, sound (production & post), camera, choreography, studio & network executives, advertising agencies, clients, label executives, game designers, distributors and cross-promotional marketing partners.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
Possess an accurate knowledge of all costs associated with delivery of music elements. Determine and advise on financial needs of project and generate realistic budget with respect to all music related costs. Deliver all required music elements within the established budgetary parameters.
MEETING EXPECTATIONS.
Advise on feasibility of schedule based on release, broadcast, campaign or product delivery. Deliver all music elements consistent with specific technical requirements. Manage and/or secure legal rights of new and existing recordings, clearances of Synchronization and Master use licenses of pre-existing music, credits, cue sheets, etc. within scheduling parameters.
CREATIVE PARTNERS BEYOND THE FILM.
Determine the viability of, creation of and securing exposure or distribution of any music related ancillary product, i.e. soundtrack, single, video, internet downloads, etc. for the purpose of promotion or additional revenue streams
